1762: John Kincaid was a resident of Pownalborough in 1762. He was on the Penobscot
Expedition, on the Charming Sally, a Privateer. Was in the War of 1812. Resided in Skowhegan and
died in Hallowell in 1840. His wife's name was Susanna.

His Grave Card shows him born in 1762 and died Dec. 31, 1840 in Hallowell, Maine, where he
is buried in the Riverside Cemtery. He is listed as a Private, enlisting June 5, 1779 and discharged
Sept. 5, 1779. He was in Capt.. John Hinkley's and Benjamin Lemont's Companies, Col. Samuel
McCobb's Regiment. He was in the Battle of Bagaduce.
